Summary:Microsphere‐containing hydrogel scaffolds, which are suitable for the loading and slow release of cells and bioactive molecules, are a promising and rapidly developing strategy for tissue repair and disease treatment. Here, recent advances in various materials, methods, and research applications for microsphere‐containing hydrogels are summarized.
