Summary:From the methanol extract of Aralia chinensis leaves, three terpene glycosides (1‐3) and one lignan glycoside (4) were isolated by using various chromatographic methods. Their chemical structures were identified as (2R,6S)‐borane‐2,6‐diol 2‐O‐β‐D‐apiofuranosyl‐(1→6)‐glucopyranoside (1), 3‐O‐β‐D‐glucopyranosyl‐(1→3)‐β‐D‐glucuronopyranosyl‐oleanolic acid‐28‐O‐β‐D‐glucopyranoside (2), 3‐O‐[α‐L‐arabinofuranosyl‐(1→4)‐O‐β‐D‐glucopyranosyl‐(1→3)]‐β‐D‐glucuronopyranosyl‐oleanolic acid‐28‐O‐β‐D‐glucopyranoside (3), and liriodendrin (4) by using combination ofESI‐MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectral data as well as by comparison with the previous literature.
