Summary: | Many experiments carried out in the laboratory are involved with taking numerous experimental readings, counting, timing and carrying out repetitive calculations. The result is that the experiments become a repetitive data collection and presentation exercise, detracting from the value of the practical work. The aim of this project was to produce a dedicated microprocessor-based system to monitor four simple experiments performed by first-year students in the laboratory, thus removing the tedious error-prone part of the work from the students.
