After the isolation of the host component, some water was always found to be present in the material in the solid state. According to its behavior in the solid state the compound of general formula Ni(NH
3)
m
Ni(CN)
4·
n H
2O is of the clathrate type. The amount of water and ammonia ligands depends on the pH, and was determined by TG, DTA, DSC and combined DSC/GC measurements. |
