Thermal properties of thio- and selenocyanatocopper(II) complexes with some N-donor ligands

The thermal decomposition of CuL2(NCS)2, CuL2(NCSe)2 and CuL2(NCS)(NCSe) where L = 2,2'-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline showed that the phenanthroline complexes are thermally more stable than bipyridine complexes. The different course of the thermal decomposition curves of individual complexe...

Description
Summary:The thermal decomposition of CuL2(NCS)2, CuL2(NCSe)2 and CuL2(NCS)(NCSe) where L = 2,2'-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline showed that the phenanthroline complexes are thermally more stable than bipyridine complexes. The different course of the thermal decomposition curves of individual complexes is a conse-quence of a difference in reduction properties between NCS and NCSe ligands.
