Summary:Thermogravimetric (TG), derivative thermogravimetric (DTG), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) studies of naphthoquinoneoxime metal complexes in static air and nitrogen flow have been performed. The kinetics of the thermal decomposition processes have been investigated. It has been found that the random nucleation mechanism operates consistently with the Mampel equation. A solid state reaction is proposed for the decomposition of complexes, since they decompose without melting. The procedure of thermal decomposition depends on the nature of the metal in the complexes.
