Mu-atomic X-ray series in lithium and lithium hydride

The relative intensities of muonic X-rays in metallic Li and LiH targets have been measured. The comparison of experimental results with theoretical estimates suggests the population of levels with low l to be favoured during the initial phase of atomic capture of muons.
