Description
Summary:In the polarographic reduction of the chromium(III)-triethylenetetraminehexaacetate complex carried out in the presence of some group ions IIIA in acetate buffer solution, an increase of the limiting current depending on pH, temperature, concentration of the electrolyte and concentration of the group IIIA ions was observed. When the square-wave polarographic technique was applied an increase of the peak current was found under identical conditions. The increase of the limiting current and of the square-wave peak current was attributed to the formation of a mixed binuclear complex, Cr(III)-TTHA-La, and to adsorption processes involving this complex.
