Summary: | Adsorption enthalpies and equilibrium constants have been determined using the moment theory for adsorption of phenol, toluene and cyclohexanone on alumina, alumina modified with calcium and a palladium supported catalyst prepared to be used in the selective hydrogenation of phenol to cyclohexanone. Some conclusions, useful for kinetic modelling, have been outlined on the influence of the physical and chemical properties of the adsorbents on the adsorption parameters. |
