Description
Summary:•A new series of Fe(II), Mn(II) and Ni(II) complexes with N-[2-(2-diethylaminoethyliminomethyl)phenyl]-4-methylbenzenesulfonamide ligands were prepared.•The structures of the complexes were established by X-ray crystallography.•The biological activities of the complexes were investigated. Fe(II), Mn(II), and Ni(II) complexes based on N-[2-(2-diethylaminoethyliminomethyl)phenyl]-4-methylbenzenesulfonamide (HL) of ML2 composition were synthesized. The structures of the complexes were established by elemental analysis, IR, Mössbauer spectroscopy, and X-ray analysis. The resulting complexes were tested for fungistatic, protistocidal, and antibacterial activities. [Display omitted]
