Description
Summary:Security is an essential requirement in mobile ad hoc network (MANETs) [1]. Compared to wired networks, MANETs are more vulnerable to security attacks due to the lack of a trusted centralized authority and limited resources. This paper simulates the behaviour of Blackhole node in AODV protocol in NS2 and proposes a technique to avoid it in AODV [2] routing protocol using Triangular Encryption [3] in NS2 [4][5]. Triangular Encryption has been chosen because of its low computation overhead. Comparison with existing blackhole detection technique [6] reveals that the proposed technique obtains better results.
