Description
Summary:In this study the action of carbon tetrachloride on the adrenal cortex was investigated. This was done by measuring the 17-KS and 17-OH in the urine of a group of rats which had been subjected to subtoxic doses of carbon tetrachloride over a period of time. A considerable increase in the amounts of both the 17-KS and 17-OH was observed indicating that carbon tetrachloride probably acts on adrenal cortex indirectly through the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland.
