Description
Summary:Convolutive cyclic voltammetry was used to yield a smooth and skillful method for test the type of electrode response, computation of the homogeneous chemical rate constant kc, and the standard reduction potential E0 of the ECEC mechanism in which the two chemical steps are irreversible. The laboratory results and the type of electrode reaction were verified via numerical method. The arbitrary experimental model which behaves as ECEC is the 5-(4-Dimethylamino-benylidene)-1,3-diethyl-2-thioxo-dihydro-pyrimidine-4,6-dione. The electrode behavior of the selected model was carried out at a gold electrode in 0.1 mol/L tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAP) in methylene chloride (CH2Cl2) solvent. The discrimination between ECEC and ECrevECrev was achieved via numerical simulation method.
