Negative constructions in the speech of residents of the rural area of Piranga, Minas Gerais State: a variational analysis/Construcoes negativas na fala de moradores da zona rural do municipio de Piranga, Estado de Minas Gerais: uma analise variacionista

This paper aims to describe and to analyze negative constructions in the speech of residents of the rural area of Piranga, Minas Gerais State. The selected constructions were: [Nao V], [Nao V Nao] and [V Nao]. The theoretical framework used to perform the work was the Quantitative Sociolinguistics. For purposes of description, we used two external factors: sex and age. From the corpus analysis and the comparison with other works about the negatives in the Mineiro Dialect--Camargos (1998), Alkmim (2001) and Sousa (2004)--it was found that the innovative variants [Nao V Nao] and [V nao] present a profile of a possible change in progress and that males would be taking forward this change. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo descrever e analisar construcoes negativas na fala de moradores da zona rural do municipio de Piranga, estado de Minas Gerais. As construcoes selecionadas foram: [Nao V]; [Nao V Nao] e [V Nao]. O arcabouco teorico-metodologico utilizado para a realizacao do trabalho foi a Sociolinguistica. Para efeito de descricao, foram considerados dois fatores externos: o sexo e a faixa etaria. A partir da analise do corpus e da comparacao com outros trabalhos sobre as negativas no dialeto mineiro--Camargos (1998), Alkmim (2001) e Sousa (2004)--, verificou-se que as variantes inovadoras [Nao V Nao] e [V Nao] apresentam um perfil de uma possivel mudanca em progresso e que o sexo masculino estaria levando a frente esta mudanca.
