Summary:The present article intends to reflect about the following languages in contact: Portuguese- French-Haitian Creole which is formed by the Haitian immigrants social networks in Rio de Janeiro. Social network is a set of ties of all types among individuals in a group (BORTONI-RICARDO: 2011, p. 15). This research is qualitative based, with field work, qualitative data and description. A sociolinguistic questionnaire was prepared and the inquiry is about the informants social profiles, the language usage and the linguistic representations. According to the data, the social network individuals associate the Portuguese language knowledge with professional insertion in Brazil. Key-words: multilingualism; social networks; immigration. Este artigo analisa as linguas em contato em contexto de imigracao haitiana no Rio de Janeiro, a partir da formacao das redes sociais, entendidas como "um conjunto de vinculos de todos os tipos entre os individuos em um grupo" (BORTONI-RICARDO, 2011, p. 15). Pretende-se investigar a distribuicao funcional das linguas em contato devido a convivencia entre brasileiros e haitianos no Rio de Janeiro, na construcao civil. A pesquisa e de natureza qualitativa, com trabalho de campo, dados qualitativos e descricao. Como instrumento de pesquisa, foi utilizada uma enquete sociolinguistica. Os dados demonstram que, se por um lado, os imigrantes associam dominio da lingua portuguesa a insercao profissional no Brasil, por outro lado, o ensino da mesma ainda nao faz parte do programa de acolhimento preparado pelo governo.
