Summary: | Considering emotional intelligence (EI) as an essential factor for professional success, this study highlights the ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions as a crucial differentiator in the workplace. The objective is to investigate EI and its practical applications in the corporate environment, aiming to understand its influence on productivity, job satisfaction, and organizational climate. To this end, a literature review was conducted, critically analyzing previously published studies to consolidate existing knowledge and identify gaps. Thus, it is observed that EI is essential for productivity, job satisfaction, and organizational climate, with emotionally intelligent professionals exhibiting better performance in teamwork, conflict management, and leadership. This allows us to conclude that EI brings concrete benefits to organizations, including improved performance, reduced conflicts, and the promotion of a harmonious work environment. However, there is a significant gap between the theoretical recognition of its importance and the practical implementation of strategies for its development. Investing in the development of EI is investing in the future of individual and organizational success. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence. Professional Success. Corporate Environment. Productivity. Considerando a inteligencia emocional (IE) como um fator essencial para o sucesso profissional, este trabalho destaca a capacidade de reconhecer, entender e gerenciar emocoes como diferencial crucial no ambiente de trabalho. Objetiva-se investigar a IE e suas aplicacoes praticas no ambiente corporativo, visando compreender sua influencia na produtividade, satisfacao no trabalho e clima organizacional. Para tanto, procede-se a uma revisao de literatura, analisando criticamente estudos previamente publicados para consolidar o conhecimento existente e identificar lacunas. Desse modo, observa-se que a IE e demonstrada como essencial para a produtividade, satisfacao no trabalho e clima organizacional, com profissionais emocionalmente inteligentes exibindo melhor desempenho em trabalho em equipe, gestao de conflitos e lideranca. O que permite concluir que a IE traz beneficios concretos para as organizacoes, incluindo a melhoria da performance, reducao de conflitos e promocao de um ambiente de trabalho harmonioso.
