Description
Summary:The paper presents a secure cloud storage system for handling and storing digital evidence. The proposed system allows users to use two-factor authentication based on smart cards to increase access control security. The system enables signing and verifying files with a multi-party computation method in order to distribute trust among more parties. Files representing digital evidence are securely stored in particular case folders with authenticated access control based on different roles. Moreover, the system supports a long-term archivation and backup repository with authenticity and integrity protection based on post-quantum digital signatures. The pilot implementation and results prove that the system is practical and can handle large files. Finally, the paper presents a demonstration use case in order to show how the system could work in practice.
