Description
Summary:When adapting existing table games for the mobile setting, there is a choice of either keeping the round-based approach of such games or giving it up and optionally replacing it with additional "magical" features only available for the location-based version of the game. Based on our experience in building a hide and seek game using both approaches independently in two research groups, we compare the two alternatives regarding the design as well as user experiences. The results are a helpful guideline for other attempts to adapt table games for the mobile setting.
