Effect of a bias electric field on the dielectric properties of lead-free (Na,Sr,Li)NbO3 ceramics with diffuse phase transition

The effect of a bias electric field on the value and temperature dependence of dielectric permittivity ɛ of lead-free ceramics of the NaNbO 3 -Sr 0.5 NbO 3 -LiNbO 3 system with diffuse maximum ɛ( T ) (temperature T m of which is strongly dependent on frequency) was studied. It was found that the ɛ(...

Description
Summary:The effect of a bias electric field on the value and temperature dependence of dielectric permittivity ɛ of lead-free ceramics of the NaNbO 3 -Sr 0.5 NbO 3 -LiNbO 3 system with diffuse maximum ɛ( T ) (temperature T m of which is strongly dependent on frequency) was studied. It was found that the ɛ( T ) maximum decreases and diffuses as the electric field strength E increases, while T m is virtually independent of E in the investigated range of E ≤ 8 kV cm −1 . A similar effect of a bias electric field on ɛ and T m was observed earlier in classical lead-containing relaxors of the PbMg 1/3 Nb 2/3 O 3 type.
