Summary: | Government of India (GOI) has introduced Vocational Education and Training (VET) program. Technology adoption along with peer influence and government support are perceived to be few of the important aspects for successful adoption of technology for VET. In this background, the purpose of this study is to identify the factors that would impact use of technology for VET and to assess how peer influence and government support would moderate such impact. Through studies of literature and theory, some hypotheses have been formulated with development of a model conceptually. These have been tested through statistical analysis with survey involving 326 respondents. The study has highlighted that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use for the usage of technology in vocational education and training in terms of TAM3 could impact the users’ attitude to actual use the technology for vocational education and training by enhancing the behavioral intention of the users. This study also highlights that the moderating effects of peer influence and government support could enhance the intention of the users to use technology for vocational education and training. |
