Summary: | An understanding of geographic labor market characteristics is valuable for undergraduate students planning a career in human resource management. While many courses discuss some aspects of local labor markets, a project that requires students to compare and contrast labor markets can help build this understanding. This paper shares details from a joint project between two human resource classes at different colleges that required students to collaborate virtually to study labor markets. As a result of this project, students not only learned about labor markets, but also built valuable skills in virtual collaboration. |
