2
O
2
proceeds only in the presence of the catalyst giving PMIDA N-oxide as the main product. Under the studied conditions, the reaction orders with respect to the reagents (PMIDA and H
2
O
2
) and the catalyst were found to be the first. The apparent activation energy of the reaction for the temperature range of 313–343 K is 37 ± 3 kJ/mol.
