Summary: | Kinetics and thermodynamic of Amoxicillin adsorption by Chitosan /poly (Acrylic amide-co-Acrylic acid) (CH/(AM-co-AA) from aqueous solution are investigated and are study to removal contamination from wastewater in future. The data are estimated by using Two different isotherm equations (Freundlich and Langmuir equations) , Langmuir`s equation showed the best agreement than Freundlich equation. it is also evaluated the maximum capacity adsorption of Amoxicillin drug occur at about pH 1.2. The effect of pH on adsorption process of AMX onto CH/(AM-co-AA) was also found out. From kinetic equations study, it is determined that the adsorption process kinetics obey pseudo-second order model for AMX adsorption onto (CH/(AM-co-AA) polymer composite. The thermodynamic data studies were involved, the values of ΔG°, ΔS° and ΔH°are obtained. The ΔG°values were showed in the range of -2.3767 and - 2.5028 kJ mol−1 indicating spontaneous nature of adsorption process. The positive value of the ΔH° (22.916 kJ mol−1) indicates endothermic nature of adsorption process. FT-IR spectercopy ,and FE-SEM analysis are carried out for the adsorbent CH/(AM-co-AA) polymer composite before and after the adsorption of AMX drug. The adsorption experiments indicate that CH/(AM-co-AA) polymer composite can be used effectively for the adsorption of AMX from aqueous solution. |
