Summary: | A quantitative index of efficiency of diagnosing vessels, tanks, and pipelines is proposed, which takes account of the risk of emergency situation that may arise in case of their failure, reliability of methods, and volumes of monitoring done for diagnosing. A relationship has been established between the risk of failure of the technical device (groups of risk to vessels, classes of tanks and pipelines) and the accuracy of predicting service life. A technical device liability factor characterizing the degree of risk of emergency situation has been introduced. The possibility of selecting a set of requisite diagnosing methods that provide the referred efficiency index for reducing cost and volume of prediction work is shown. |
