Therefore, in this review we analyze recent clinical and molecular evidence linking gut microbiota with the etiopathogenesis of RA. The potential of the gut microbiota as a diagnostic or severity biomarker is discussed, as well as the opportunity areas for the development of complementary therapeutic strategies based on the modulation of gut microbiota in the rheumatic patient. |
