Methods
Solutions simulating acidic beverages with different pHs (2.5 or 3.5) and titratable acidities (0, 25, or 100 mM citric acid) were tested. In an in vivo study (

= 20 participants), the salivary pH was determined before, during, and up to 2 min after exposure to the tested solutions.
