Summary: | The study was conducted on 75 managers of a high reliability organisation using organisational priorities items and factorially defined role effectiveness dimensions. The organisational priorities item scores were obtained through paired comparison procedure. Significant relationships were obtained between role efficacy factors of managers as dependent variables and 4 sets of organisational priorities such as clear aims, assertive leadership, positive climate and team work. The step-wise logistic regression between high and low role efficacy total score and organisational priorities dimensions identified inappropriate structure and underdeveloped individuals as priorities of high reliability organisation. Implication for practising managers in general and for high reliability organisations in particular are discussed. |
