Description
Summary:Leaders of companies that consistently achieve double-digit growth, this study discovers, have a number of approaches and behaviors in common. Most of all, they are clear about their directions and priorities, and they consistently strive to be in touch with both customer markets and their employees. They nurture talent and focus on their organization's core abilities. Growth tops every organization's list of corporate strategic priorities. Yet it is difficult to draw hard-and-fast rules about how and why some companies are able to achieve and sustain double-digit growth while others fail. All leaders wax poetic about the importance of talent, but double-digit growth companies are downright fanatic about it. Recognizing that talent truly is their lifeblood; they are extraordinarily careful about whom they hire and how they retain and develop them.
