Summary: | In simple terms, channel management can be defined as the strategies and methods used to service, market to, and communicate with members through any delivery option/channel they want to use. All these channels must be accounted for and addressed. Management teams must start by determining what corporate strategies each part of a channel plan must support. Channel planning must focus on one or two key goals. The strategies and efforts that result, together with the scorecard that will be used, must support key strategic priorities. With the corporate strategic goals for each channel in place, credit unions should decide which one or two metrics best provide insight into whether the goal is being attained. CUs have always distinguished themselves by their ability to provide a strong, consistent member experience. As the delivery landscape inevitably changes, a strongly articulated channel plan will allow them to keep and expand on that advantage. |
