Description
Summary:The data that is to be sent through any network across the globe is vulnerable to various kinds of threats. One such threat is eavesdropping which should be seriously viewed. Eavesdropping is secretly gathering the data of two parties without their consent. In Optical fiber communication this has become the trend and data has been accessed by the unauthorized user. To overcome these issues researchers have suggested many ways which includes encoding the data with the sequence of codes that changes the original data at the transmitting end and recovering it at the receiver end. In this paper, authors have implemented a new strategy of protecting the data from attackers. In this method, the actual data that has been sent is inverted and the original wavelength is converted to another wavelength during transmission so that confidentiality for the data can be achieved. This is done with the help of Wavelength Conversion technique. Also the performance of fiber optic link is analyzed by varying the fiber length and injection current of SOA, the Bit Error Rate (BER) was compared and quality factor was measured with the help of opt system simulation software.
