Summary: | The article presents an analysis of existing technologies based on the use of waste from various sectors of industry or recyclable materials, which is a current trend in the construction industry. It is noted that the inclusion of binders and by-products - biochar in concrete production, which reduce the proportion of Portland cement or sand, is crucial for maintaining and improving the mechanical characteristics of the resulting products and service life. The results of experimental studies of the effect of rice husk biochar additive on concrete properties are presented. Biochar has been shown to act as an effective additive for improving the mechanical properties of structural concrete and increases the ultimate compressive strength of concrete samples by 31.3% higher compared to the control ones. |
